CELEBRATING THE LIFE & LEGACY OF
JACK LLOYD

ABOUT
Any student of Jack’s through the years knew that the band room was a place that was inspiring, life-giving, and full of memories. Many times, students would come to the band room just to spend time with Jack. He was passionate about music, tough on mediocrity, and full of personality.
This site was created to allow people to return to the band room. May you be inspired to carry on the musical legacy that Jack instilled in all of us. If you are visiting the band room for the first time, remember the band rules: Rule #1. The conductor is always right. Rule #2. If the conductor is wrong, refer to Rule #1.

The kids will reach the goals that you set for them. If the goal is ‘here,’ that’s where they’re gonna go – they won’t go any higher than that. If it’s up ‘here,’ they’ll go for that. Maybe they won’t reach it, but they’re going to try awfully hard to get up there.
